Emissary: Return Contact is the debut title from Cosmic Tracks LLC. This puzzle-metroidvania follows a rover 'Emissary' as it explores an alien space craft, accompanied by its mission control satellite Diplomat. Navigate in zero-G with the use of your magnets to collect information, and find a way to disable the craft's signal jammer to send it all back to Earth.
The full game is still in development - enjoy the demo!

Shortly after the first of Earth's spacecrafts to cross the heliopause began its journey into interstellar space, it sent back a barrage of unintelligible noise. At first it was dismissed as the inevitable system failure of a piece of decades-old technology, flung far further than the machinery of the time could truly account for. After some further investigation though, the craft's readings were proven to be accurate: Barely pinpointable from Earth, far further than anything of humankind's had ever reached, was a perfect sphere of space through which no wavelength could travel unscrambled. This was something entirely unprecedented, and clearly, entirely artificial. Earth had found its first proof of an extraterrestrial structure.
Further investigation would prove difficult. Whatever system worked to scramble data passing through its range was extremely effective. Nothing could be bounced off, and everything picked up was entirely indecipherable. However, it was still an opportunity that couldn't be passed up, and thankfully it was easy to track and project the radius' trajectory through space. The natural solution was to send out another vessel to meet this something face-to-face.
Top scientists got to work, and a basic plan was developed. An unmanned mission would be sent to the location carrying two artificial scouts:
Emissary, an autonomous rover specially designed to navigate a range of potential environments, and Diplomat, a highly intelligent computer designed to manage the mission and process all collected data on-site.
Hopefully, the two would at least be able to communicate with each other from within the area of influence. Their goal would be to analyze their environment down to every last detail, attempt contact with alien life if present, and ultimately, attempt to disable whatever system was jamming communications and send their findings back to Earth.
